PTT Picks: Kranz
It's a dinner place. No wait. It's a dessert place. No wait. It's a theatre. Actually, any of the three apply. The rotating lunch menu is limited with four to five entrees. The same goes for the starters. But one of the best reasons to go to Kranz mid-day is for the desserts. Again, it's not like the Cheesecake Factory, but the selction of cakes and pies is plentiful - something for everyone. At night, the menu expands a bit (and changes every night) to include more fish, meat and pasta dishes. Unfortunately, most of the desserts go away. But the 100% bio food is delightful - as well as the service and attractive wait staff. And apparently there is a theatre in the back - with German plays of course. Not something I want to do, but if you're in the mood... When you visit, look for blonde Michael from Austria. He's more than willing to help in English - and he's cute too. And for the boys, Kranz is just up the street from Selig - one of Munich's best gay bars.
